At Kaila Na Ua Resort, our core values define who we are, support our vision, and outline what we stand for. We are committed to three central pillars:

1. Sourcing Locally: We support Fijian-made products.

2. Sustainability Practices: We prioritize reducing, reusing, and recycling.

3. Community Projects: We believe everyone can make a difference.

To uphold these values, we have implemented several eco-friendly initiatives:

Energy & Water Conservation

- Solar-heated water is provided in every suite.

- LED lighting is used throughout the property.

- Rainwater is harvested to maintain our gardens.

- Resort linen is air-dried, and we encourage a "hang up to reuse" towel policy.

Sustainable Recycling Reduction

- We avoid disposable products, using glassware with bamboo or paper straws for welcome drinks.

- Guests are encouraged to compost leftovers for our garden.

- We use eco-friendly cleaning products and recycle paper for office use.

- Plastic bottles, cans, and glass are recycled through the “Return and Earn” Initiative that was created through the partnership of the Sigatoka Town Council, Mission Pacific and the Ministry of Environment.
We encourage buying local, seasonal product, such as mangoes, paw paws, and avocados grown on-site—over imported goods.

Eco-Friendly Transportation & Guest Experience

- We offer non-motorized water sports, including kayaks, SUPs, and snorkeling.

- To reduce our carbon footprint, we provide bikes for rent and a complimentary bus card system.

- We use plastic-free wooden key tags for our pool suites.

Community Engagement

- We support local businesses and invite guests to join our "Giving Back to the Community" mission by donating to local schools, villages, and community projects.

We invite you to join us in these efforts during your stay.
